On May 8 and 9, a traveling exhibition "Faces of the Russian Resistance" was held in the center of Leipzig.

Leipzig became the 20th European city where the exhibition was presented. The installations show large-format photographs of famous and not-so-famous political prisoners in Russia behind symbolic bars of construction fences. Thus, the authors want to make it clear to the European population that many people in Russia are openly rebelling against the bloody Putin regime and its criminal war.

At the official opening of the exhibition, Sergei Lagodinsky, a member of the European Parliament from Germany, urged those present to continue to remain committed to the "Beautiful Russia of the Future."

In her speech, Russian opposition politician Anastasia Bryukhanova stressed the importance of countering state propaganda with the help of independent and reliable information. Politicians Yuri Volnov and Konstantin Kosov, who, like Bryukhanova, are being persecuted in Russia for campaigning against a large-scale invasion of Ukraine, shared with the audience their motives for participating in political life and unfulfilled hopes for a change in Russian politics at the grassroots level.

In conclusion, Elena Filina, the author of the exhibition, called on all Russians who found themselves safe not to remain silent about the crimes of the Russian state and support political prisoners. She also thanked the team of the Leipzig civic initiative "For a Free Russia and Belarus", which collected donations for the rental and transportation of structures, as well as took over the registration, construction and supervision of the exhibition.
