The presentation of the project ‘Faces of Russian Resistance’ took place at Artdocfest in Paris

Portraits of Russian political prisoners were placed in the Luminor cinema hall during a reading of Mikhail Durnenkov's play about the case of film director Yevgenia Berkovich and playwright Svetlana Petriichuk.

The producer of the play, actress Maria Chuprinskaya, suggested combining texts and portraits of Russian political prisoners with the reading of case materials, letters and videos from the courts.

The audience, French and Russian emigrants of different waves were immersed in the atmosphere of Russian reality.

Many emigrants of the last wave, leaving the auditorium, said that they had already forgotten in free France the sense of absurdity that is an integral part of the life of active citizens in Russia.

For a few more days, as part of ArtDocFest, it was possible to see part of the exhibition Faces of Russian Resistance in the hall of the Luminor cinema in Paris.
