The exhibition “Faces of the Russian Resistance” opened in Vilnius.
The exhibition took place in the Town Hall Square. There, the organizers erected several fences on which they hung portraits of Russian political prisoners. Each of them is accompanied by a short biography (in Lithuanian).
Tatyana Usmanova, the wife of politician Andrei Pivovarov, who was sentenced to 4 years, came to the opening:
“We have a huge number of people who started fighting for freedom long before February 24, 2022. We must respect them, support them and do everything possible for their freedom,” she said.
"This is a reminder that Russian resistance to the Putin regime is the lot of very few, but such resistance does exist. All those people on the posters are saving what is left of the honor of a deliberately sleeping country," said journalist Konstantin von Eggert.
